Your first fans won't find you by accident — you'll bring them. The good news: they're already following you. This is a checklist, not a marketing degree. Work through it in order.
The launch checklist
Put your FAYDER link in every social bio. Instagram, TikTok, X, Strava — anywhere your name appears, your link should too. This costs nothing and works for you around the clock. It's the single easiest thing on this list, so do it first.
Announce your page. A post or a story explaining what fans get: the inside track on your training, the honest race debriefs, the journey as it actually happens. Don't be shy about the ask — the people who follow you want a way to back you. You're not begging; you're opening a door.
Personally message your biggest supporters. You know exactly who they are — the people who like everything, reply to every story, comment on every race. Send them a personal message inviting them to be a founding fan. Personal invites convert best, by a distance. Ten personal messages will do more than a hundred broadcast ones.
Tag your links so you can see what's working. Add ?via=instagram to the link in your Instagram bio, ?via=tiktok on TikTok, and so on for each platform. FAYDER records where each signup came from — so in a few weeks you'll know exactly which channel brings your fans, and where to focus your effort.
Let your fans recruit for you. Every fan has a referral link they can share with friends — and they earn Heat points for it. Your happiest fans are your best marketing team, so tell them: "if you're enjoying this, share your link."
Keep showing up. FAYDER's Heat score and leaderboards reward fans for engaging and sharing — which means an active community grows your reach on its own. Your job is to keep giving them things worth engaging with. Momentum feeds momentum.
The mindset
Nobody launches with a thousand fans. You launch with ten people who genuinely care, you treat them brilliantly, and they bring the next ten. Small, warm and growing beats big and silent — every single time.
